MaxRigidizer is an inorganic rigidizing solution that hardens the surface of ceramic fiber products after drying, improving their mechanical strength and abrasion resistance. By sealing the surface, it also helps reduce fiber shedding and the release of airborne fibers. MaxRigidizer can be applied by brush, roller, or spray to ceramic fiber blankets, modules, and other high temperature insulation products.
The product is available in two grades – MaxRigidizer 2300 and MaxRigidizer 2700, with temperature ratings of 2300°F (1260°C) and 2700°F (1482°C), respectively.
MaxRigidizer 2300 is recommended for applications exposed to high-velocity gas streams or direct flame impingement. For applications requiring enhanced high-temperature performance, MaxRigidizer 2700 is recommended.
