MaxMoldable is a high-performance, moldable
insulation material made from a blend of aluminasilica fibers and binders. Its tacky, putty-like texture allows it to adhere easily to ceramic fiber, refractory surfaces, and steel. Designed to prevent heat loss from deteriorated linings, it also serves as an effective sealant or crack filler in high-temperature environments.
The product is available in two grades—MaxMoldable 2300 and MaxMoldable 2600—offering classification temperatures of 2300°F (1260°C) and 2600°F (1425°C), respectively.
For applications involving direct contact with molten metals, MaxMoldable 2300 AL is recommended, particularly in aluminum and non-ferrous metal operations such as transfer troughs and ladles.
