MaxShield® Tank Car

Passive Fire Protection Refractory Ceramic Fiber Blankets

MaxShield Tank Car blanket is made from long strand spun, high purity ceramic fibers to create a high strength, flexible product designed for use on DOT-111, CPC-1232 and DOT-117 tank cars.

MaxShield Tank Car blankets have been specifically manufactured to comply with the US Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and Transport Canada (TC) Thermal Protection requirements for rail cars transporting crude oil, ethanol and other hazardous and flammable liquids.

MaxShield Tank Car blanket is listed on the FRA Thermal Protection System list and have been tested for pool fire and torch fire conditions as outlined in 49 CFR Part 179.
