Addressing waste issues and rising transportation costs, NUTEC has introduced a more compact option for the packaging and protection of its range of insulation blankets. Nu-Wrap is now available for all NUTEC high-temperature blankets – an efficient packaging option that optimizes space and reduces environmental impact.
How Nu-Wrap Works
In the Nu-Wrap process, blankets are wrapped in a layer of kraft paper and then a sturdy plastic wrap is tightly fitted over the blanket roll. Pablo Rangel Cueva, NUTEC Inc.'s Project Manager, commented:

By introducing plastic packaging alongside traditional boxing, we help clients reduce freight costs while also improving roll handling and overall packaging efficiency. Improved Truckload Capacity
When filling a truck with boxed packaging, the bulkier, less efficient design tends to result in wasted space and fewer units per shipment. With Nu-Wrap, the compact nature of the packaging allows for much tighter packing, reducing the number of shipments required. Tests on a fully laden typical truck have shown an increase in load capacity, which will have a dramatic effect on logistics efficiency and fuel consumption.
Additional benefits include a reduction in customer warehousing space needed for blanket storage, ease of handling, and minimal job site packaging disposal.
Available Across NUTEC's Blankets
Nu-Wrap is available for a wide range of NUTEC blankets, ensuring efficiency across various industrial solutions, regardless of chemistry, density, and thickness. Packaging of NUTEC blankets in boxes will continue to be available as a shipping option for those who prefer it.
